Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk

The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk takes visitors 30 metres above the forest floor of Cedar Creek rainforest, threading through the canopy on a steel cantilever bridge that extends out over the gullies and creekline. The walkway winds through 300-million-year-old Gondwanan rainforest, where ancient piccabeen palms cluster below and strangler figs wrap their way up towering trunks. From the elevated vantage point, you'll look down into a world of staghorn ferns, elkhorns and lawyer vines, with glimpses of the creek cutting through the undergrowth far below.

The skywalk is part of a broader network of ground-level walking tracks that loop through different sections of the rainforest, allowing visitors to experience the ecosystem from multiple perspectives. Interpretive signage along the paths explains the unique flora of this subtropical environment, where species from both temperate and tropical zones meet and overlap.
