Curtis Falls

Curtis Falls is one of Tamborine Mountain's signature natural attractions, tucked within the Joalah section of Tamborine National Park. The main draw is a short, accessible rainforest circuit that winds through lush subtropical vegetation before arriving at a 12-metre cascade that tumbles over a basalt rockface into a shallow pool below. The track itself is well-maintained with sections of boardwalk and stairs, making it suitable for most fitness levels, though the return loop involves some elevation change.

The walk immerses visitors in dense green canopy, piccabeen palms, and ancient tree ferns, with the sound of the falls growing louder as you approach the viewing platform. The waterfall's flow varies with rainfall—strongest after wet weather when the cascade fills the entire rock face, quieter during drier months when it becomes a gentler trickle.
